Alpine aniseed, a tried-and-true tradition

The history of pastis is inseparable from that of French conviviality. Officially appearing in 1932, it became, with the arrival of paid holidays, the French people’s favourite aperitif, a symbol of relaxation and sharing. At Distillerie des Alpes, we have made this heritage our own by infusing it with the soul of our mountains.

Our Pastis des Alpes, a flagship product of the house for over four decades, combines the dominant flavours of star anise and liquorice with a bouquet of around twenty plants and spices. The subtle notes of Génépi and the woody touch of woundwort give it a unique, deeply Alpine character.

With Pastis 1889, crafted by Aelred from around a dozen rigorously selected spices, we offer a more couture take on the aniseed aperitif: refined, balanced, designed for discerning enthusiasts.
